Ethel Mary Margaret Roy (Fitzpatrick), aged 94 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away Wednesday, June 27th, 2012. Ethel was born in Willow Bunch, SK on October 5th, 1917. She married Albert Roy on October 15th, 1947. Together they had four children: Doris (Richard) Markusson, Rita (Grant) Cameron, Vivian Walker and David. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert; 4 brothers, 1 sister, 6 brothers-in-law and 6 sisters-in-law. Ethel worked at many places during her life. She retired in 1982 from the Assiniboia Union Hospital. She was a valued worker, co-worker and friend to all those she worked with. Ethel sold her house in Assiniboia and moved to Moose Jaw to live with her son David in 1999. They had many happy years together. To her family, she was a proud and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had a great sense of humour, loved bowling, ball games, playing cards, Danny O’Donell and of course the casino. She will be greatly missed by all who had the honour of knowing her. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 2nd, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 1064 3rd Ave. NW, Moose Jaw, SK. Father Rick Krofchek will be the presiding celebrant and interment will take place in Mount Hope Cemetery, Assiniboia, SK. A Prayer Service will be held on Sunday, July 1st, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.
