– who passed peacefully away on the evening of June 26th, 2012 in her 87th year, to be with her beloved husband Frank. Left with cherished memories: daughter Carolyn Newhook and her husband Ron; sister Joyce Reid (Walter) and family; brother Howard Newhook (Muriel) and family; special nephew Basil Newhook (Florence) and family; a large circle of family and friends and her special pet, Lukey. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Meadow Creek Retirement Home who helped her with care, compassion and humour and the nurses and doctors at the Health Sciences Centre who made her passing as comfortable and dignified as possible. Resting at Bethel United Church, Norman’s Cove. Visitations will be on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m.-12 noon. Funeral service will take place on Friday at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Diabetes Society or the charity of one’s choice.
A Butterfly
A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
and for a brief moment its glory and beauty belong to the world,
But then it flies again, and though we wish it could have stayed --
