WILLIAM PICKLES

On Monday, May 14, 2012, a Service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving was held for the life of William Pickles, a kind and gentle man who enjoyed the simple things in life. His greatest concern was always that his family was happy and secure. Bill was a father, grandfather, friend and mentor to his children and hoped to be so to his first great-grandchild, William. Bill was the anchor in our families lives. Bill had a great love for the outdoors and our many carefree, happy days camping as a family will not soon be forgotten. Thank you to all our friends and neighbours for their many kind expressions of sympathy and gifts of food and to the many friends and business acquaintances and the choir members of the United Baptist Church who attended Bill's Memorial Service. You were all the fabric of Bill's life and you honoured him by your presence. Our thanks to Dr.'s Haleem, Brake and D'Intino and the nursing staff of the An Cala Unit, Regional Hospital. A sincere thanks to Rev. Bob Hussey for his many visits to Bill and the reading of Bill's favourite Bible scriptures during the Memorial Service. To Terry Nichols and staff of Sydney Memorial, we thank you for your counseling and support with our sad tasks. To honour Bill's memory, we ask that you tell someone you love them, give someone a hug, cherish your friends and help a person in need.

"You shall see my face in the sunshine of a summer day,
and hear my voice in the falling rain".
"Love one another as I have loved you"
John 13, Verse 34
