WEAGLE, Gary Lloyd – 61, Lockhartville passed away June 11, 2012 at home after a long battle with cancer surrounded by his family. Born in Caledonia, he was a son of the late Arnold and Mary-Jean (Oickle) Weagle. Gary had worked for Minas Basin Pulp & Power. Gary is survived by his wife of 41 years, Donna (Henshaw); son Richard (Jennifer), Avonport; daughter Melissa (Jeremy) Nixon, Devon, Alberta; grandchildren Christine, Marcus, Dylan, Kyle and Dana; brother Eugene, New Brunswick; sister Jeannie Taylor, Windsor. Besides his parents, Gary was predeceased by a brother Wallace. Cremation has taken place. Visitation was 7-9 p.m. Thursday June 14, 2012 in Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, Wolfville where a memorial service was held 2:00 p.m. Friday with Rev. Gary Manthorne officiating. Interment was in the Willowbank Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gary may be made to the VON, the Palliative Care of Kings County or the charity of choice.
