Sandra Jean McInnis, of Fisher Street, Sydney, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Thursday, June 28, 2012, at the QEII, Halifax.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Neil and Elinor (Sheppard) MacDonald.
Sandra was a member of St. Alban’s Anglican Church and employed with Citizenship and Immigration, Sydney.
Surviving are her daughter, Rebecca McInnis, Halifax; sons, Gary MacNeil, Vancouver, B.C. and Michael (Lorna) MacNeil, Halifax; sisters, Sharon (Don) MacKinnon and Chris (Joe) Larade, both of Sydney; brother, Clyde ‘Boots’ (Connie), Oromocto, N.B.; grandchildren, Noah and Kate and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Monday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at St. Alban’s Anglican Church on Tuesday, 11 a.m., with Rev. Karen Quirk officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice.
