MERSEREAU, VINCENT - Vincent Albert Mersereau passed away peacefully on Friday, June 29, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Hoyt, NB on April 13, 1931 Vince was the son of the late Eldon and Stella (Charleton) Mersereau. He lived most of his married life in Grand Bay and was involved in a variety of business ventures. Vince loved to spend winters in Florida, camp with friends in his motor home, dance, play golf and especially loved playing music and jamming at the Lorneville Community Centre. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Charlotte (Jansen); daughters, Marilyn (Phil) Shier and Brenda (Giles) Allan; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sisters, Phyllis Whittaker, Audrey Fox, Leona (Al) Paisley and Geraldine Walther. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his first wife Elizabeth “toots”, a son Albert and brothers Vance and Howard.
Following cremation visitation will be held at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Memorial service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at 2 pm, followed by a reception.
