Edgar Roy “Sparky” Stewart
It is with deep regret ,the family of Roy “Sparky”Stewart announce his passing ,in the Veteran’s Unit in Pictou on Friday evening in his 89th year.
Born in New Glasgow he was born the son of the late Russell and Jessie (Langille) Stewart.
Better known as “Sparky” dad took great pride in his home in Coalburn ,which he and mom shared for over 4o years .
He never stopped improving his home and making it safe.
After WW 11 ,he helped his father maintaining the parks in New Glasgow. From there he worked at Maritime Steele ,Trenton Works and then Michelin Tire where he worked as a machinist ,retiring at the age of 65.
Dad enjoyed fishing , hunting ,working in his workshop in his garage, bowling and playing cards with the Michelin Retiree Group.
He also enjoyed playing cards with his uncles and other family members . He loved nothing better then to reel people into an argument , for dad had a dry sense of humor . Mom ,especially got the brunt of his humor for her serious nature could not compete with him.
