Peacefully at her home in Summerside on Saturday, June 30, 2012 of Jean Margaret Minard, formerly of Tyne Valley, aged 90, wife of the late Clyde Minard. Jean was born in Northam on June 29, 1922, daughter of the late Alfred and Stella (Gorrill) Ramsay.
Cherished mother to Kenny (Ellen), with whom she lived in Summerside, and Andrew (Melanie), Dartmouth, NS. Loving grandmother to Christopher (Tamara), Jason (Ali ), Claire (Jason), Sarah (Gary), Michael (Tyson), Jessica, Alexandra , Ashton and her great grandchildren Maddox, Hannah, Sophie and Logan. Sister in law to Sterling (Barb) Minard, Halifax; Betty Ann (Chal) Jevens, ON. Jean is also survived by a special niece Lois (Jim) Barlow, Halifax, along with several other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jean was predeceased by her parents, her husband Clyde in 2006, daughter Jane, brothers Eldon, Waldo and sisters Thelma, Gladys and Blanche when she was four. Resting at the Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel with visiting hours Tuesday 6-9 pm. Funeral on Wednesday at the Tyne Valley Presbyterian Church at 11 am. Interment to follow in the Church Cemetery. In memory of Jean, memorials to the Tyne Valley Presbyterian Cemetery or the Tyne Valley Presbyterian Church would be appreciated.
