Nelson, Cora “Jean” – 79 of Brookfield passed away June 30, 2012 at Colchester Regional Hospital. Daughter of the late Harold and Doris (Chaisson) Hayden. She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years Harry “Seldon” Nelson; sisters, Vera MacLean and Frances Hadden. She is survived by sons, Seldon (Rhonda), Sandy (Trish); daughters, Ellen (Richard) Sutherland, Lorna (Alton) Sutherland, Krista (Fulton) Lynds; 14 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; sister, Doreen (Maurice) Countway and in recent years, friend Don Locke. Arrangements under the direction of Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro from where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 3 at 11 a.m. Rev. Eric MacKinnon officiating with burial in Brookfield Westside Cemetery. No visitation by request.
