Amos White

WHITE, AMOS LESLIE - It is with great sadness that the family of Amos White of Quispamsis, husband of Linda (Payne) White, announce his death which occurred peacefully on Monday, July 2nd, 2012, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Sandy Cove, NL on April 7th, 1959, he was the son of Lillian (Genge) White and the late George Henry White of Sandy Cove, NL. Amos was employed as a truck driver, a job he truly loved and was a loyal employee of Brookville Carriers. He enjoyed life to the fullest and loved all types of music and enjoyed dancing. Most of all, Amos adored and dedicated his life to caring for his family. He especially treasured the times spent with his daughter Chantelle who was his pride and joy. Amos was an avid sports fan who particularly enjoyed hockey and baseball. He will be sadly missed. Besides his beloved wife, Linda and mother, Lillian, Amos is also survived by his precious daughter, Chantelle, at home; brothers, Louis (Michelle) of Quispamsis, Whyman (Denise) of Port Saunders, NL, Albert (Blanche) of Leduc, AB and Bruce (Loretta) of Brooks, AB; mother-in-law, Mrs. Dora Payne of Cow Head, NL; sister-in-law, Wanda House (Darrell) of Daniel’s Harbour, NL; brother-in-law, Wilfred Payne (Marlene) of Deer Lake, NL; nieces, Terri-Lynn (Carson) and their children Brianna and Dustin, Heather, Shana, Rebecca, Sarah and Payton; nephews, Bradley, Brandon (Jennifer) and their son Brayden, Stefan and Tyler; many cousins and special friends. As well as his father, George Henry White and father-in-law, Rendell Payne, Amos was also predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Matthew and Sophia Genge; paternal grandparents, John Albert and Rosanna White; nephew, Zachary and special aunt, Rhoda Payne.
Arrangements are entrusted to Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, (506) 849-2119, with visitation on Thursday, July 5th, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A memorial service will be held at the chapel of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home on Friday, July 6th, 2012, at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place in Newfoundland, at a later date.
