Passed peacefully away at the John M. Gray Centre in St. Anthony on June 23, 2012, Mrs. Mary Ann Blake of Straitsview, NL, in her 92nd year. She leaves to mourn with a lifetime of fond and loving memoires her children Martha (Edward), Edgar (Bessie), Hazel (Wilmore), Dorothy (Clayton), Gordon (Helen), and Todd (Kerrie); her 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; her stepbrothers Wesley (Winnie) and Francis (Selma), and a large circle of family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Israel Blake, children Harvey, Gladys, and Francis (Selma), sister Sarah Jane Bishop, father William, mother Victoria, stepfather Walter, stepbrothers Ambrose and Nimrod, stepsisters Joan and Blanch. Visitation was held at the Central United Church in Straitsview from where the funeral service took place at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26 with Rev. Gus Pendleton officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes Ltd., St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.
