Celeste “Belle” Chambers, of Windsor, Hants County, went home to be with her beloved Heavenly Father on Wednesday, July 4, 2012, in Dykeland Lodge, Windsor, at the age of 101. Born on September 27, 1910, in Charleston, Queens County, Nova Scotia, she was the eldest daughter of the late Benjamin Hastings Anthony and Katherine Mae (Baker) Anthony. She was a member of the Windsor Church of the Nazarene. Belle is survived by her son, Bob Chambers, Truro; her daughters, Barb Brown, Edson, Alberta; and Karen Davis, Calgary, Alberta. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Corey Chambers, Truro; John Chambers, Aylesford; Jennifer Mattinson, Windsor, Ontario; and Brian Gunn, Thorburn; as well as seven great grandchildren. Besides her parents, Benjamin Hastings Anthony and Katherine Mae (Baker) Anthony; she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert “Tobe” Chambers (1982); her daughter, Betty Cameron; as well her brothers, Carl, Hubert, Roland, Cyril, and Clyde Anthony; her sisters, Muriel “Molly” Ward and Ruth Bowman. Visitation was held at the Church of the Nazarene, 131 Wentworth Road, Windsor, from 1 until 2 p.m. Sunday, July 8, 2012, followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. The Rev. Wensell MacLeod officiated, with interment at the Centre Falmouth Cemetery, Town Road, Falmouth. Family flowers only by request; however donations were requested to be made to Dykeland Lodge Chaplaincy Fund, 124 Cottage St., Windsor, B0N 2T0, or a charity of one’s choice.
