Passed peacefully away on Monday, July 9, 2012, Mary Winsor House in the presence of her family at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 88 years. Left with loving memories are her daughters: Rosalind and husband Ted Cross of Summerside, PEI and Carolyn and husband Austin Hayes of Corner Brook; grandchildren: Ian Cross of Borden, ON and Susanna Cross of Nanaimo, BC; step-granddaughter Debbie Pittman and family of St. John’s; brother-in-law Dr. Maxwell House and wife Mary of St. John’s; sister in-law Lena House of Abbotsford, BC; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Harry House, February 1, 1995, parents William and May Pynn, brother Harry, sisters: Melba and Merle. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Tuesday 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 12 at 2:00 p.m. from First United Church, Park Street with Rev. Myles Vardy officiating. As expressions of sympathy family flowers only, donations may be made to the Autism Society.
