In loving memory, we announce that Ruth has gone home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ after suffering over five years, a heart condition, a stroke and then a heart attack. There, she will join her parents Fred and Martha, sisters Edna and Jean, and sons Terry and John.
Ruth is survived by her sister Lorraine, daughter Julia (Dave), son Colin (Susan) and two grandchildren, John and Gracelyn.
During her life, Ruth committed herself to motherhood. She worked in a sewing factory, ran a daycare for many years, then finished her career years later as a letter carrier. Then she started a rental business with her son. Ruth had a passion for gardening, sewing and house designing.
For those fortunate people who really knew her, she was an incredible source of God’s wisdom and grace.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 21, at 1:30 p.m. at Calvary Chapel, 4943 Geer Road, Sechelt, followed by a graveside service at Seaview Cemetery, Sunshine Coast Highway, Gibsons, BC. Reception will follow at the Mailey’s residence.
