Henry Marshall
HAZEL GLEN- Henry Duncan Whitfield Marshall, 92, of Hazel Glen, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 in the Q.E. II Hospital, with his children by his side.
Dad was born in Malden, Mass., USA, the only son of the late Duncan and Ellen Marshall.
Dad was predeceased by his beloved wife, Helen (Our precious mom), just eight months ago.
He is survived by, and was the proud father of , Judy (Dale) Migel, Timberlea; Nancy (Gerald) Jones, Westville; Jim (Susan), Charlottetown, PEI. Special “Papa” to his five grandchildren, Stephanie, Kristina, Nicole, Andrew, and Tarhen; and his two great grandchildren, Hannah and Cameron. He is also survived by brothers-in-law, Allister and Gordon MacLaren and sister-in-law, Marg Chittick.
Dad was predeceased by sister-in-law Ruth MacEwan and infant grandson Nicholas.
Dad was a 65 year member of the Western Star Masonic Lodge and became a Master Mason in 1946 and Worshipful Master in 1972. He was a member of St. Paul United Church. He had a 33 year career with Sobey’s. Dad was a strong man (both physically and mentally), he certainly didn’t look or act 92. He was a man of few words, but we always knew we were loved dearly.
There will be no visitations. A private family funeral will be held on Friday at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville with the Masonic Lodge in attendance followed by a committal service and a graveside Lodge service at the Auburn Cemetery.
