GALLANT, ERNEST - 1928-2012 - Rogersville - At the Foyer Assumption of Rogersville, Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at the age of 83, passed away Ernest Gallant, companion of the late Florence Duplessis, former husband of Vitaline Hébert. Born on October 20, 1928, he was the son of the late Arthur Gallant and the late Katherine Richard. He is survived by two daughters: Tina Gallant and Pauline (Clarence) Mazerolle, both from Cocagne; his wife’s daughter, Annette Duplessis from Saint John, NB; two sons: Gerry (Diane) Gallant, and Arthur Gallant (Rhonda), both from Kitchener; two sisters: Marie (the late Alphée) Richard of Rogersville and Léona (the late Adolphe Arseneault) of Moncton; eleven grandchildren: Christine, Rachel Nelson, Darlene, Pam, Jason, Trisha, Kelly, Becky, Nicole , Amiee; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. A son, Emile and a brother, Emile predeceased him.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends after 2 pm on Friday, July 13th at the salon "La Colombe", 11325 Route 126 in Rogersville. The funeral will be held at the church of St-François-de-Sales in Rogersville, Saturday, July 14th at 10:30 am. Visiting hours: Friday, July 13th from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and Saturday, July 14th from 9 am until departure for the funeral. A donation to the Cemetery of Kent Junction would be appreciated.
