Peacefully at the Margaret Stewart Ellis Home, O'Leary, on Wednesday July 11, 2012, with her family by her side, of Patricia Mary Clara (nee Profit) Harper, beloved wife of the late Reginald Harper, formerly of Tignish, in her 87th year. Born at Woodvale, P.E.I. on July 22, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Bridget (nee Gavin) Profit. Loving mother to Colleen (Victor) Gaudet of Tignish; Edward (Marion) of New Glasgow, N.S.; Cherlene (Russell) Gaudet of DeBlois; Wendell (Eileen) of Tignish; Melita (Aubrey) Chaisson of St. Louis; Brenda (Dennis) Doucette of Palmer Road; Tommy (Jean) of Kitchener, Ont.; Reg (Debbie) of Montrose; Irene (Donald) Phillips of West Cape; Ruby (Darryl) Pitre of St. Felix; Anne (Joe) Arsenault of Anglo. She is also survived by 43 grandchildren as well as her 68 great-grandchildren and by 1 great-great-granddaughter. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Catherine Profit of Summerside and Rachael Miller of Tignish. She was predeceased by two grandsons, Ross Gaudet and Jesse Harper. She was also predeceased by her sisters and brothers: Agatha Mokler, Margaret Blanchard, Eleanor Tousenard, Sr. Irene Profit, Doris A'Hearn, Antoinette Profit, Winnifred Profit, Gerald, Bernard, Carl, Alphonse and William. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Friday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral on Saturday afternoon from St.Simon and St.Jude's Church Tignish for funeral mass at 2;00 pm.Interment in the church cemetery. As an expression of sympathy memorials to the Church Cemetery fund would be gratefully appreciated.The Tignish council of the C.W.L will hold a prayer vigil Friday evening at 6;45 pm.
