It is with heartfelt appreciation that we, the family of the late Ted Forgeron, extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to all of our friends who offered their support at the time of his passing and in the days following. To the friends, relatives and community members who provided such kindness – whether you visited, telephoned, sent Mass or sympathy cards, brought food wrote emails or online condolences, made memorial donations or sent flowers - all thoughts and prayers were greatly appreciated and every gesture meant so much to us at this difficult time. Thank you to the Bateston Fire Department First Responders and the Paramedics for their prompt response. At the regional hospital, our utmost gratitude to Doctors Jhirad, Mackenzie, and Petersen and the nursing staff. Their care was dignified, professional, and exemplary on all levels. To the many people who attended the wake and funeral, we express our gratitude to each one of you. A special thank you to the members of the Bateston Fire Department for their presence at the wake. Many warm thanks, as well, to Father Raj for his touching homily that was most comforting and to Father Tom Lathigee for assisting in the celebration of the funeral mass. Theresa Forgeron, Roy O’Hearn, and Nicole Forgeron all added to the service with their beautiful readings, and thank you to Lionel Wadden and Darryl Harris for acting as servers during the funeral. The choir, under the direction of Marylou Harris, provided a powerful chorus that was meaningful and inspiring with great accompaniment from pianist Charlotte Forgeron. The Knights of Columbus Choir aided by lending their voices and participating in the service as well. Thank you especially to Ted’s brothers, Roy, Sid, Bill, Sandy and sister Charlotte who acted as pallbearers. To honorary pallbearers, Edgar Wadden, Jay MacDonald, Gary Perry, Willie Savory, Tony McDougall and Joe Forgeron, and to the fisherman who in great numbers formed the honor guard, Ted would have appreciated your tribute. Thank you to the Main-A-Dieu CWL for the delicious lunches they provided on both days of the wake and following the funeral. We also are forever grateful to Bill Curry and T.W. Curry’s Funeral Home for their guidance and support during trying times.
