POWER, CLIFFORD G. - It is with sadness and a broken heart Brenda J. Power announces the death of her husband and best friend, Clifford Gordon Power on July 14, 2012. Born 1947 in Saint John, Cliff (Kippy) passed away at Bobby’s Hospice with his family by his side until he took his journey. Clifford was the son of the late Bertha and Gordon Power. Clifford is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Power; brothers, William (Billy), Stephen (Mary-Ann), George, Tony (Debbie); sister, Carol Defazio (Nicky); sister/brother-in-law, Cathy Mitchell (Gary); brother-in law, Brian Mantle (Jessie); mother/father-in-law, Dorothy and Raymond Mantle; several nieces, nephews, great- nieces and nephews. Clifford was predeceased by his sister, Kay Hodd; brother, Michael; and nephew, James Golden. Many fond memories of Cliff were shared by family at his bedside while he fought his battle to live.
Following cremation, a visitation will be held at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) on Tuesday, July 17 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 2:00 pm. Donations in Clifford’s memory may be made to Bobby’s Hospice or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
