Joseph 'Joey' Spry
Passed on: July 15th, 2012
Joey aged 42, passed away on Sunday July 15th, 2012, with his family at his side. Joey was predeceased by his mother Floss Spry, grandmother Julia (mudder) King and Uncles Randy, Paul, Reg, Wayne, Teddy, and Eddy King. Joey will be forever in the hearts of his children: Julia and Lucas Spry; his former spouse/best friend/ “boss” Catherine Murrin; his beloved brother/best friend/caregiver Rick Spry (son Cole), and special cousin “like a brother” Brian King. Also leaving behind with a lifetime of memories are his appointed “family” Muggs White, Jackie Picco, Terry Meadus and Jamie Hogan whom without them we could never have gotten through this. Joey also leaves to mourn his father Joe Spry; brothers: Desmond and Shawn Spry; very special relatives who were a huge part of Joey’s life - Uncle Calvin and Aunt Anne King, Aunt Jenny King (Randy – deceased), and many other relatives and friends. A huge Thank You to the staff at the Agnes Pratt Home for the kindness, compassion, laughter and care that you all have given Joey over these past 4 months. We couldn’t have “hand-picked” a better place with the best staff to have Joey spend his final months. There are many people that we would love to thank individually, but with not wanting to leave anyone out, we extend an enormous gratitude of thanks for going above and beyond in caring for Joey and making him a part of your “family”. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Barrett’s on 328 Hamilton Avenue on Tuesday, July 17 from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday the 18th from 10-9 p.m. There will not be a service, but rather a “celebration of the dash” of Joey on Thursday evening the 19th starting at 4 p.m. at the Lions Club on Waterford Bridge Road for all that would like to drop by and share a few laughs with us on Joey’s behalf. Donations in Joey’s memory can be made to The Agnes Pratt Home, or in trust for his children Julia and Lucas Spry. Please visit www.barretts.ca to sign the memorial guest book.
Your spark is still ignited,
and will forever be a flame
in your Children's

who will carry on your name.
