Jeans, Edna Alberta (Bertie),of Kentville, Kings Co. passed away on July 11th 2012 in Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville in her 97th year. Bertie was born in Argyle Shore. PEI. She is sadly missed by Warren Jeans her loving and caring husband of 28 years. Cherished mother of Blair Williams (Emily) and Lorraine Brown (Bob). Bertie was also the dear step mother to Charlene Routledge, Greg and Calvin Jeans. She will be forever remembered by her grandsons Gordon, Douglas and Scott Williams in Ont. and her granddaughters Mary Collins in NL, Diane Demarco in Ont. and her 8 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents, Jennie and Neil MacNevin, brothers, Robert and Leslie and husbands, Leonard Williams and Calvin MacKinnon. The family expresses their appreciation to the staff of Evergreen Home for Special Care for the excellent care given to Bertie during her stay. In accordance with her wish, cremation has taken place under the care & direction of the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Coldbrook, N.S. A memorial service was held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 18 in the Belvedere Funeral Home, 175 Belvedere Ave. Charlottetown, PEI .Visitation took place prior to the service from 10-11 am in the funeral home. Interment followed in the Argyle Shore Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
