Marietta Jane (Davison) Doyle - 62, of North Alton, Kings County, passed away on July 15, 2012 in her sleep at home. Born on June 29, 1950 in Plaster Rock, New Brunswick to Roscoe and Evelyn Davison. Marietta enjoyed her years as a Brownie Leader and as a tee ball coach. Her amazing passion for flowers was very well expressed by just walking through the greenhouses. Marietta was wise beyond her years with many people asking for advice on everything from flowers to family. She will be greatly missed. In her later years she cherished every moment, taught people around her to live and love life. Her family, children and grandchildren were her greatest treasures in life and showed in all she did and said. Survived by husband, Laurie of North Alton; siblings, Cynthia Parks of Hamilton, ON; Stephen "Sonny" (Mary) of St. John's NFLD; Tennyson "Ted" (Mary Lou) Davison of Centreville NS; Martin "Marty" Davison (Sherry) of Kentville NS; children Richard (Diane) Doyle of Halifax; Jeff Doyle of North Alton; Monica (Jeff) Martin of Kentville; Logan (Colleen) Doyle of Nanaimo, BC; and Devon of North Alton; grandchildren, Zachary, Mikayla, Jake, Kaitlyn Abbie and Jared. As per Marietta's wishes there was no formal service or viewing. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Friends and family were invited to Doyle's Farm Market for an informal gathering to pay their respects and share their memories of Marietta on Thursday, July 19, 2012 from 6pm-8pm. Donations in Marietta's name can be made to Breast Cancer Society or the charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. The family respectfully requests no on-line condolences.
