It is with deep regret that we the family announce the passing of Michelle Currie on July 9, 2012
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of Robert Currie, Sydney and the late Marilyn Ann (MacKinnon) Currie.
She was a wonderful mother, sister, aunt, daughter and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
She enjoyed camping, fishing and snowmobiling, anything to do with the outdoors. She had a soft spot for animals.
Besides her father, Bobby (Debbie) she is survived by her three children, Matthew, Kristy and Taylor Parsons, all of Sydney; grandmother, Marion MacKinnon siblings, Robert ‘Bobby’ (Joleen) Currie, and Shane (Raylene) Currie both of Sydney; stepsister, Kelly (Allister) Marsman; stepbrother, Daniel O’Leary, both of Alberta; nieces Allisha and Emily and nephew, Ryan; the father of her children, John Parsons, as well as many extended family members.
Besides her mother, she was predeceased by her grandfather, Charles MacKinnon; paternal grandparents, Michael and Bessie Currie.
Cremation has taken place.
A memorial service will be held time on Friday July 20, 2012 at 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, East Bay, with Fr. Frank Abbass officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the St. Mary's Church renovations fund.
