WILSON, GWENDOLYN - With family by her side, Gwendolyn Elizabeth Wilson (Pentland) passed away suddenly at the Saint John Regional Hospital, on July 18, 2012. Born on April 26, 1937 in Campbellton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Cora (Firth) Pentland. Gwen worked at Brook Bond Tea Factory for many years, but during her retirement, she had dedicated her spare hours to fulfilling the role of “neighbourhood grandmother” for the children who live near her home in Morna Heights. She is survived by her loving husband Jack of 53 years; two brothers, Edward (Margaret) Pentland, Burlington, Ontario; James (Jean) Pentland Geary, NB; and three sisters, Mavis Miller, Dartmouth, NS, Lois (Bill) Boyce, Saint John, NB, Myrna Toussaint, Brantford, ON, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by one sister, Carolyn (Charles) Gustavason, from NS, two brothers; Wilfred (Carrie) Pentland and George Pentland, both of ON and three brothers-in-law, Oscar Miller, Waldo Ross and James Toussaint.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road Saint John (646-2424) with visitation on Thursday, July 19th and Friday, July 20th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Ext.
