LOIS LOVELY
Born: April 17th, 1927
Passed in: Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada
Passed on: July 14th, 2012
On JUly 14th, The Angels surrounded Lois with Peace and Love, and took her to the Heavens above.
Lois leaves many loved ones behind: her three children, Sandy Rogers, Rod (Catherine) Lovely and Teresa Heckendorn all of Kamloops. She leaves behind two brothers, Gerald (Lucile) and Darvin (Marg) of Alberta and nieces especially Karen (Larry) (Edmonton) and nephews. Lois had a great love for all of her grandchildren, Tyler Rogers (Alberta), Ben, Crystal and Aidan Lovely (Kamloops) and Alex Heckendorn (Mexico). She had one great grandchild, Shae Lovely of Kamloops.
Lois has touched the hearts of many children that have lived in Rod and Catherine's home. The children called her grandma and loved her as she was their own grandma. Lois also leaves behind the many friends she has made over the years.
Lois was involved in Weight Watchers as secretary for a few years. She served as a home care support worker for many years. She worked at Bennett's store for a short time in the 1960's. She also worked at the Plaza Hotel as a banquet server and Interior Tent and Awning in 1958.
Lois spent her life devoted to her predeceased husband (Huxley Lovely) of 58 years of marriage and her children. Lois and Hux came to Kamloops in 1958. They worked at the Huxley Lovely Studio for many years doing photos. Lois enjoyed life to the fullest, her family was her life!
Lois was given a short time to live after being diagnosed with cancer, just before Christmas.
The family would like to thank all the staff and volunteers at Hospice House for the dedication and caring treatment to Lois and her family for the eight days she was there.
A great thank you to High Country Home support care aids especially Jan, and Kamloops Interior Health home care nurses. Thanks to Dr. Du-Preez, and her staff.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Kamloops Hospice House in Lois' memory.
Further condolences can be made to c.e.lovely@hotmail.com and it will be forwarded on to all her children.
Lois left a legacy of love, laughter and kindness; she truly made the world a better place to be in.
May she rest in peace!
