Stanley Newsham
November 8, 1929 – July 18, 2012
Stan Newsham of Mortlach, SK, passed away July 18, 2012 at the age of 82. Stan is predeceased by his parents, John and Matilda; his four brothers, Bob, John, Ted and George; his niece Tristan; and his two nephews, Tom and Ronni. He is survived by his sister Beulah, three nieces, four nephews, twenty-one great-nieces and nephews and fourteen great-great-nieces and nephews. He passed away with his loving wife Roberta and sister Beulah holding his hand, and other family members at his bed side. His wife still resides in Moose Jaw in their current home. Stan was a mechanic and welder by trade, and known by many as “Stan, the fix-it man”. He was loved by all who encountered him and his kindness. Stan was thought of as a gentle, generous man who had a passion for farming, and a great love for animals. He will never be forgotten and will always be remembered for lending a helping hand to anyone in need. The Funeral Service will be held at Parkview Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Bob Langdon will officiate, with a tea to follow. Interment will take place at Mortlach Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Moose Jaw Humane Society, 1755 Stadacona St, Moose Jaw Sk, S6H 7K7 would be appreciated.
