Margaret Frances ‘Nancy’ McGillivray of New Waterford passed away Friday, July 20, 2012, at New Waterford Consolidated Hospital.
Born in New Waterford, she was a daughter of the late Angus and Catherine O’Connor.
Nancy graduated from the New Waterford General Hospital School of Nursing and went on to work at New Waterford Consolidated Hospital for several years.
She was a member of the former St. Agnes Church, currently the Parish Church of St. Leonard.
Surviving are daughters, Shannon MacIsaac, Colleen Woodland and Cheryl (Neil) MacKenzie, all of New Waterford; sons, Douglas, Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., Greg (Kelly), New Waterford, Frank (Pam), River Ryan, Gene (Robin), Thunder Bay, Ont., Danny (Nancy), River Ryan; grandchildren, Shannon (Jerry), Laurie (Patrick), Hughie, David, Mark (Alisha) Adam (Shardeigh), Kristen, Ian, Connor, Morgan, Madison, Marley, Molly, Clare, Kyle, Dylan, Chara, Jimmy and Dana; great-grandsons, Luke and Douglas.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Nancy was predeceased by her husband, Dan, son, Hughie, brothers John, Myles, and Wilmot, sisters, Evelyn, May, Lena and Sr. Maria Pius.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A private family funeral service will be held in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home Chapel, 380 Smith St., New Waterford. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, New Waterford.
