Shipley, Carol Joyce – 70, Truro passed away July 20, 2012 at home. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Alice (Martell) Curtis. Carol worked at Stanfield’s Ltd., for many years. She is survived by her daughters, Lula (Lewis) Langille, Truro, Rebecca (Shawn) Gower, Truro; son, Edward “Buddy” (Jennifer), Truro; grandchildren, Nicole, Cheryl, Justine (Matt), Trevor, Jana, Holly, Sarah, Elizabeth and Samantha; great grandchildren, Skyler, Sammy, Brooklyn; brothers, Peter (Linda), Georgie (Ellen); sisters, Alice (Don), Jan, Helen (Stan), Mary (Joe), Lorraine (Kam), Phyllis (Keith); several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Floyd Shipley; sister, Jackie; brother-in-law, Gerry Pullam. No visitation or flowers by request. A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, July 24 at 11:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 669 Prince Street, Truro with Father Franceso Pirisi officiating. Interment in Watson Cemetery.
