Margaret "Anne" Ramsay
Peacefully, at the Palliative Care Unit, of the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Sunday, July 22, 2012, with the love and support of her loving family of Margaret Ann Ramsay of Travellers Rest, and formerly of Northport, age 94 years. Beloved wife of the late Amos Ramsay who predeceased her in 2008. Born at East Bideford, P.E.I., on July 23, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Nora (nee Arsenault) Cahill. Loving mother to Amy (deceased), Peggy Young of Summerside; Ken (Vivian) of O’Leary; Eunice (George) Wall of; Travellers Rest; Helen (Preston) Murphy of Alma; John (Una) of Summerside; Roy (Deceased); Brenda Simmons (Brian) of Summerside; Ann Ramsay of Summerside; Claude (Sharon) of Breadalbane: Eleanor (Ray) Wakelin of Charlottetown; Vicki (Mike) Henwood of Fort McMurray; Barb (John) Stewart of Charlottetown; Marilyn Olson (Ruben) of Charlottetown; Pauline Gallant (Allison) of Summerside. She is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Nadine Ramsay, of Charlottetown. She will be sadly missed by her 115 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by five grandchildren, T.J. Myers, Rylyn Ramsay, Ruby Ramsay, Tracey Arsenault and J.J. Gallant. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Tuesday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Wednesday afternoon, July 25, from the Gordon Memorial United Church, Alberton, for funeral service at 2 p,m, Rev. Lynn MacKinnon officiating. Interment to take place at the Elmsdale United Church Cemetery. If so desired memorials to the Fitzroy Centre, Charlottetown, or the Elmsdale United Church Cemetery would be gratefully appreciated.
