Muriel “Edith” Peach, age 97, of Mount Denson, Hants County, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 21, 2012, at the Windsor Elms Village, Falmouth, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 19, 1914, in Cambridge, Hants County, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late James and Althea (McLellan) Hiltz. Mom spent her life devoted to her family. Always a lady who enriched the lives of all she knew. Edith is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Frank) Goldsmith, Falmouth; grandchildren, Douglas Goldsmith, Lisa (David) Kaulback, Diana (Bradford) Hall, Cindy (Carroll) Charlton, Michael (Norma) McLellan, and Dana McLellan; 7 great-grandchildren, and 6 great great-grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Besides her parents, James and Althea (McLellan) Hiltz; she was predeceased by her husband, Eugene “Doc” Burton Peach (October 12, 1983); daughter, Dorothy Bernice McLellan (April 4, 2012); granddaughter, Kim McLellan; great-grandson, Phillip Paul Davison; sisters, Lillian Cusack and Kathleen Eldridge; brothers, Clayton Hiltz and Frank Hiltz. Visitation was 7-8:30 p.m. Monday, July 23, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor. A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at the Mount Denson Baptist Cemetery, Highway 1, Mount Denson, with the Rev. Virginia DeAdder officiating.
