Vera passed away peacefully with her husband and youngest son by her side on July 22nd, 2012 at the age of 86. Vera was born in Hodorow, Livir, Ukraine. She was taken to Germany at the age of 16, during the war, where she met her first husband, and had 2 children, Guido and Jenny. They came to Canada in 1954 and lived in Eastend, Saskatchewan. In 1960 she separated and moved to Swift Current where she met the love of her life, Otto Micheletti. They had 2 sons; Henry and Fred. In 1981, Otto and Vera Moved to Moose Jaw. Vera worked hard all of her life and was always full of energy. She loved to be with people, joke and laugh, and have a good time. Singing and dancing was a passion that she loved. Always a heart of gold. She always had a great compassion for people in need of help. When Otto retired from the C.P.R. in 1984, fishing became one of their favorite pastimes. Vera will be lovingly remembered by Otto, and her two sons Fred (Marie) and Guido (Susan) and her granddaughter Mandy. Friends and relatives are invited to a Prayer Service to be held on Wednesday, July 25th at 7:00 p.m. at Parkview Funeral Chapel. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, July 26th at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 1064-3rd Ave. NW at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
