The family of the late Martin (Marty) J. MacIntyre would like to thank the many family members, friends and service providers for the wonderful care and support they extended to Martin throughout the years. Prior to his passing on May 25th, 2012, Martin relied on the tradition of excellent care provided by homecare workers, nurses, and his family physician, Dr. Mark Sampson. In recent years, due to illness, Martin's mobility was reduced but because of the dedication, commitment and love of his wife, Agnes, Martin was able to live at home. With the help of his family, he was able to attend St. Mary's Church, continue to support the Cape Breton Eagles, and visit with friends and relatives. Agnes MacIntyre and her family wish to thank the staff of the Cape Breton County Homemakers, the VON, the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Dr. L. Shimon, Harbourstone staff, Curry's Funeral Home, the CWL of St. Mary's Church, Father Frank Abbass, violinists Shaun MacDonald and Lloyd MacDonald and organist Carol MacDougall. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to those who brought food, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, online condolences and donations made in Martin's memory.
We enjoyed reading the many ways that Martin touched your lives. Your support and kindness throughout this difficult time has been a comfort to our family.
