GRAHAM, Mervin, aged 79 years of the Climax, Saskatchewan and Bracken, Saskatchewan area passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at the Shaunavon Hospital & Care Centre. He was born at Bracken, Saskatchewan on May 24, 1933 and attended school at Edmond School. He moved to Ontario in 1950 and worked as a bookkeeper and sold cars until 1955 when he joined the Air Force A.M.U. and served as a Load Master. He met Beth Hastings while serving in Scotland and they were married in Montreal on May 5, 1956. He left the Air Force in 1958 and Merv and Beth took up farming in the Bracken area. They continued to farm together until Beth’s passing. He married Peggy Jaeger on December 5, 1991 and they lived in Climax until July 2008 when Merv moved to Leduc to live with his daughter Lorna, and returned to the Shaunavon Care Centre in March of 2010. He drove school bus for over 20 years. He loved dancing, animals and everything about farm life. Merv enjoyed curling and playing guitar. Friends and family were very important to him. He was predeceased by two wives, Beth on December 29, 1990 and Peggy on December 17, 2008, his daughter Debbie Miller on November 19, 2011, his parents Lloyd on June 17, 1984 and Beulah on October 1, 1991, his brother Arthur in 1936 and his sister Eleanor Rasmussen on August 11, 2004. He is survived by his children, Lorna Mutch (Neil) of Leduc, Alberta, grandchildren Brady and Brodie; Natalie May (Randy) of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, grandchildren Cody, Janine and Gordie; Lloyd Graham (Dyanna) of Swift Current and grandchildren Christina and James; his son-in-law Barry Miller of Maple Creek, Saskatchewan and grandchildren Kandace, Kelly, Stacey and Jeff, numerous great grandchildren, his brother Lorne Graham of Shaunavon, as well as by nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Monday, July 30, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. from the Bracken Community Hall at Bracken with Minister Shelby Kinrade officiating. A tribute was presented by family members. Special Music was provided by Kathy Grant. Interment took place at Bracken Cemetery. Binkley’s Funeral Service of Shaunavon (www.Binkleys.com) was in charge of the arrangements. Honorary Pallbearers were Lorne Moe, Lorne Graham, Neil Mutch, Donny Mitchell, Neil McAulay and Brian Carleton. Pallbearers were his grandsons Jeff Miller, Kelly Miller, Gordie May, Cody May, Brodie Mutch, Brady Mutch and James Graham.
