Doris Marie Peters
The death occurred peacefully, with family by her side, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday, July 31, 2012, of Doris Peters (nee Pineau), of North Rustico, age 72. Doris was the beloved wife of Louis Peters; the loving mother of Terry-Lee Gibbs (Steven); and the devoted grandmother of Travis, Logan and Glenn Gibbs. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law, Lorne Costello and Dougie Peters (Bev); sisters-in-law Marina Doucette and Jean Pineau; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Brenda Reid, Marie Gallant and Jordan Gallant. Doris was predeceased by her parents, Ernest and Hilda (Blacquiere) Pineau; her brother, Elmer Pineau; her brothers-in-law, Omer Doucette, Arthur Peters and Vernon Peters; and her sisters-in-law Bernice Costello and Ethel Jarvis (Angus). The family would like to thank the home-care workers who helped the family over the past several years and staff of Unit 3 of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Dr. Edwin Pineau for the special care that was given to Doris. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012, 6 to 9 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, North Rustico, on Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Stella Maris Church Cemetery.
