With a heavy heart we announce the passing of Joyce at St. Mary’s Hospital after 50 years of suffering from lupus and related illnesses.
Born in Prince Rupert and raised in North Vancouver, Joyce will be dearly missed by a wide circle of friends. She is survived by her husband Ben of 59 years, sons Fred and Michael and their families, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Joyce will always be remembered for her kindness, love, strength and unprecedented knowledge of life. She leaves us with a legacy of stories that will not be forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lupus Society would be appreciated.
We would like to thank Dr. John Farrer and staff at Trail Bay Doctors, Dr. Sarah Wadge and staff, and all the staff at St. Mary’s Hospital for the loving care and comfort they gave Joyce.
