It is with great sadness the family of the late Primus Mahar od Port au Choix, NL, announce his passing on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 66 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Millie; son Dixon; brothers Jerry (Joanne), Aloysius (Bomi), Clary (Sharon), Gary (Michelle), Edward, Ken (Hope), Pete (Rose), and Mike (Diane), Sisters Sadie (Ken), Stella, Amelia (Jim), and Clarice (Vernon); special buddy Alfred Rumbolt; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Aloysius and Elsie Mahar, brother Bill, nephew Loman Jr. Visitation took place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port au Choix on Thursday and Friday. The funeral service took place at St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church on Saturday Aug. 4 at 11 a.m. with Fr. Lee Lainey officiating. Interment followed at the Interfaith Cemetery in Sandy Cove.
