Lawrence MacNeil
Card of Thanks
Lawrence MacNeil
We, the family of the late Lawrence MacNeil who passed away July 12, 2012, wish to express our deepest gratitude to all of our family, friends, neighbors and co-workers who offered us such tremendous support during the recent loss of our brother. You bestowed upon us many expressions of sympathy with, mass cards, sympathy cards and monetary donations (which we have given to our local food bank, Loaves & Fishes) as well as shared stories of Lawrence. Our door was never opened over that past week without a neighbor, friend of family member entering with a gift of food. How can we ever thank you for not only nourishing our hearts with your kindness, but ensuring you nourished us as well? To all of Lawrence's friends in Calgary, a heartfelt thank you for helping him through his illness. We are extremely grateful to Mike MacLellan, Neil White and his wife Suzanne who remained with Lawrence until the very end as began his journey home to be with our parents. Thank you doesn't begin to cover how grateful we are for everything you did for him and us. You were "his family" in Calgary and he was so fortunate to have such great people in his life. A Special thank you to Fr Anthony O'Connor for offering such a wonderful mass of celebration on July 18th, 2012. Your homily was beautiful and certainly depicted the values instilled in Lawrence, and us, by our parents. To the altar servers, lectors, Shauna Doolan and our choir of Sacred Heart Parish; a heartfelt thank you. We did not think our choir could be any more beautiful or amazing, but you were during this funeral mass. Thank you also to Wendy Lynk of Chant's Funeral Home for your kindness, professionalism. Your thoughtfulness and kindness was very much appreciated. Last, but never least, to our friends, Peggy MacAdam and in particular Pennie Lord who helped out in our kitchen and kept the tea pot for everyone who came to our home after the service. You all made sure everyone had a cup in their hand and food on their plate throughout the day and we are blessed to have such great friends!
Sincerely, The MacNeil's
Jane, Ann, Joey, Leonard (Theresa) and family
