MORTON, Ivan Russell – 73, of Brooklyn Yarmouth Co., passed away August 1, 2012 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital surrounded by loved ones. Born July 2, 1939 in Argyle, he was a son of the late Russell and Lidia (Green) Morton. Ivan was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved his friends and family dearly. He was a fisherman for most of his life in Argyle and was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. Ivan was also known to be a handyman. Ivan is survived by his loving wife, Lynda Morton, Brooklyn; daughters, Marsha Morton (Gary) Hebron; Holly Morton, Brooklyn; sons, Chris, Windsor; Curtis(Dawn), Springhaven; Terry(Paula), Wedgeport; brother, Richard (Nancy), Argyle Sound; sisters, Bertha(Bruce) Christie, Barrington; Doris(Hugh) Lawrence, Middleton; Francis MacDougal, Yarmouth, Patricia(George) Thibodeau, Arichat; Nancy(Russell) d’Entremont, Argyle Head; Iris(Louie) Hilton, Glenwood; Arlene (Randy) Corning, Eel Brook; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brother, Ken; and sister, Judy. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home & Crematorium, Yarmouth. There was no visitation by family request. A funeral service was held Saturday, August 4 at 4 p.m from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Robert Baker officiated.
