After a valiant battle with cancer, Dennis passed away peacefully at Kelowna Hospice House.

Born in Vancouver and raised in Abbotsford, Dennis lived his life to the fullest. He loved music, being part of the Abbotsford Concert Band for many years, playing with cars, travelling, fishing and telling stories. Family and friends were important to Dennis, and Christmas was his favorite holiday - he would have the tree up for months if he could.

While some thought him gruff, those who knew him saw the soft and generous heart underneath.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 39 years, Susan (Sue), son Michael (Natalie), daughter Alana, sisters Lynda (Dave), Judy, Bonnie (Ceejay), brother Bob (Linda), numerous nieces and nephews, and many good and wonderful friends.

Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 10, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cache Creek Community Hall. Reception to follow.
