Age 70 years. Passed peacefully away at Bobby’s Hospice, Saint John, New Brunswick on July 23, 2012, in the presence of his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Pearce and Evangeline (Gillett) King. Born June 15, 1942 in Harry’s Harbour, NL, Philip moved to Buchans in 1954 and after he completed his education worked in mining in many communities across Canada and also in Navan, Ireland. Leaving to mourn his passing and celebrate his life are his loving and devoted wife Mary (Foley) formerly of Badger; his son Daniel (Lisa) of Quispamsis, New Brunswick; his daughter Angelique (Leonard Oliver) of Fort McMurray, Alberta; his much loved and devoted little dog Maggie; sisters: Marilyn (Brian) Harris of Buchans; Judith (Derm) Bennett of St. John’s; Eleanor King of St. John’s and Roberta Daniel of Moncton, NB; brothers-in-law: Dan, Ed, Ben and Greg Foley and their families; grandchildren: Alexandria (Kelly); Timothy; Grace; Jordan and soon-to-be born Joshua Philip King, also a large number of nieces and nephews, cousins and his Aunt Eleanor and Uncle Elmo Baird of St. John’s and Aunt Joyce Gillett of Toronto. In accordance with his wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service at this time. A private family memorial service and internment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to Bobby’s Hospice, 385 Dufferin Row, Saint John, NB, E2M 2J9 or the charity of the donor’s choice.
He’s in the arms of the angels and at peace.
