Local family members have received word of the passing of William (Bill) George Porter, age 73, on Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012, in New Westminster, BC, following a period of declining health.
Bill was the son of the late Allister and Dorothy Porter, formerly of Westville, NS.
He is survived by brother, Robert (Betty) Porter, Calgary, Alta; sisters, Julie Bentley, North York, Ont. and Anne (John) Cameron of Black Point, Pictou Co.
He will be sadly missed by son, Reg, Vancouver; daughter, Susan, Port Moody, BC; and dear friend, Connie.
Cremation will take place in B.C. following a Celebration of Vigil.
