Doris Brayley
BRAYLEY, Doris Goldie– 81 of the Shiretown Nursing Home, Pictou and formerly of River John passed away August 4, 2012 in the home.
Born July 12, 1931 at Cape John, she was a daughter of the late Lucy Patriquin Langille and step daughter of the late Roderick Langille. Following the death of her mother, she was taken and cared for by the late Elsford & Maggie Langille. Goldie was a member of the Church of Christ, River John and St. John’s Anglican Church, River John.
She is survived by her daughter, Elta Warren; sons, Lawrence, Willis B., and Brian Langille; as well as a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren; foster brother, H. Wayne Langille; sister, Mae Sharpe, and numerous nieces and nephews. Goldie was predeceased by her husband Lester; sister Theresa Brown and foster brother Lawrence Langille.
At Goldie’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 2 PM in Hamilton Cemetery with Rev. Peter MacCrae officiating. Donations in her memory may be made to the St. John’s Anglican Church or Hamilton Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of McLaren Funeral Service, Pictou.
