The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, of Lorraine Jean (nee Fraser) Hippenstall of Summerside and formerly of Alberton, aged 77 years. Lorraine was born on June 30, 1935, in Alberton to her late parents Lorne and Margaret (nee Ramsay) Fraser. Beloved wife of Eldric “Bobby” Hippenstall and loving mother of Myles of Summerside, Lana (Lorne) Owen of Summerside, Lorna (Judy) Trites of Ontario, Linda (Jean) Bergevin of Ontario, Gordon, Shelley (Brad) Bernard and Lisa (Richard) Deagle all of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by her 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Survived by the following sisters: Wanda Cannon, Verna Perry, Faith Gallant and Sheila Perry, all of Summerside. Besides her parents, Lorraine was predeceased by her brother Winston “Bud” Fraser and brothers-in-law Art Cannon, Enzor Perry and Charlie Perry. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, until Thursday, Aug. 9, for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in People’s Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours on Wednesday evening only, 6-9. Memorial donations in Lorraine’s memory to the P.E.I. Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
