McCUTCHEON, GLADYS EVELYN RUBY - It is with sadness that the family of Gladys (Dickison) McCutcheon of Magaguadavic, NB announce her passing on August 5, 2012 at Windsor Court, Fredericton, NB. Born in 1937 at Houlton, Maine, she was a daughter of the late Stanley G. and Ruth J. (Lloyd) Dickison. Gladys was married for 50 years and was predeceased by her husband, Chester McCutcheon in 2012 as well as by a son, George McCutcheon and brothers James and Donald Dickison. She is survived by her children, Gail Gerbrandt (Bob), Calgary, AB, Kean McCutcheon (Cheryl), Magaguadavic, NB and Lila Norris (Dale), Calgary, AB; daughter-in-law, Martha Francis, Kingsclear, NB; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; five sisters, Eva Scott (Merlyn), Arleigh Mabie, Elaine Mabie, Arlene Dick (David) and Laurie Cronkhite (Danny); five brothers, Andrew Dickison (Annie), Arden Dickison (Louise), Robert Dickison (Nancy), David Dickison (Pam) and Beverley Dickison (Joan); sisters-in-law, Doris Dickison and Marjorie Dickison. Gladys loved children. In addition to raising four children of her own, she was a foster parent for several years and cared for many children. As well, she was caregiver for many neighbourhood children while their parents worked. Gladys was a member of the Harvey United Pentecostal Church.
Visiting hours will be held at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Route 3, Harvey Station, NB on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Harvey United Pentecostal Church, Harvey Station, NB on Friday, August 10, 2012 at 2 p.m. with Rev. John MacMullin and Pastor Roger Cole officiating. Interment at Pine Grove Cemetery, Magaguadavic. Pallbearers will be grandsons Dale Norris, Nicholas Norris, Benjamin Norris, Joel Norris, Quentin Norris and Ronnie Nicholson.
