The death occurred peacefully at Andrews Lodge, Summerside, on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, of Devona “Peggy” McMillan (nee MacDonald), aged 93 years. Peggy was born on July 16, 1919, in Lot 16, to her late parents Bernard and Annie (nee Laughlin) MacDonald. Beloved wife of the late Joe McMillan. Survived by her son Grant (Mae) and daughters Mary Grant, Rita (Joe) O’Donnell, Jean (Wayne) St. Louis, Joan (John) Arnold, Judy (Frank) Gallant, Gail (Kelly) McLeod, and Vicki. Also lovingly remembered by her sister Mary Ramsay along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Peggy was predeceased by her five sons: Louis, George, James, Pat and Gary. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, until Friday, Aug. 10, then to St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche, for funeral mass at 2 p.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Peggy’s memory to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
