SMITH, Glenn Allan, 52, of Windsor, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, August 2, 2012, with his family by his side. Born on September 5, 1959, in Halifax, he was the son of Elizabeth (Buchanan) Spurr, Hantsport and the late Alfred T. Spurr. Glenn worked in the water works industry for 30 years and currently working with IPEX. He loved the work, travel and especially all of the people that he has met on his way. His one big love was sports, but basketball was his favorite. His other love was his family on Katie Court, who have all been wonderful. Glenn is survived by his wife of 30 years, the former Carol Martin; son, Justin (Danielle), Wilkie, Sask.; daughter, Sarah (Chad Hollett), Windsor; his beloved grandsons, Kash and Brody; also granddaughter Tennyson; brother, Paul (Joanne), Lantz; also brother, Donnie. He had a special love for all of his nieces and nephews. Besides his father, he was also predeceased by his brother, Scott. Visitation was 6–8 p.m. Tuesday, August 7, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor. Funeral service was 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2012, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel. A family committal service was 2 p.m. Thursday, August 9, in Holy Trinity Anglican Church Cemetery, Middleton. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Glenn were requested to be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of one’s choice.
