August 7, 2012. It is with great sadness that her family announce her sudden but peaceful passing at her home in Sibley’s Cove. Joan will always live in the memories of her husband of 61 years, William (Bill); children: Bob (Donna), Glenn (Sharon), Gail (Rick East) and Heather (Ron Bavis); grandchildren: Tracy, Christopher, Renee, Ryan, Matthew, Michael, Allie and Hannah and 4 great-grandchildren. Also leaving cherished sister Margot Pike and brothers: Warren Clarke (Marlene) and Elihu Clarke (Audrey); special brothers and sisters-in-law: Frank (Ruth), Alice Green, Don (Nellie), Max (Elsie) and Rose Somers (Hal). Joan leaves a very close circle of cousins, nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. She was born in Victoria C.B. to Mark and Alfreda Clarke and will be welcomed into their open arms and loved ones gone before her. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Green’s Funeral Home, Winterton. Visitation on Wednesday 7-9 p.m. and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Visitation also on Friday 10-12 p.m. at Bethel United Church, Sibley's Cove. The service and a celebration of her life will take place 2 p.m., Friday, August 10 at Bethel United Church, Sibley’s Cove.
