The death occurred at the Dr. John M. Gillis Memorial Lodge on August 9, 2012 of Fred Harris in his 91st year.
He was the loving husband of Zelda (Stewart) Harris, who predeceased him in May of this year, and the loving father of Gary Harris, who predeceased him in 2006.
Fred was the son of Louis and Zettie (Beck) Harris. Survived by brothers and sisters, George (Lillian), Anne (Sheldon), Bert (Pauline), Beth (Keith) and Ron (Lorna); sisters-in-law, Phyllis Harris, Bernice Scott and Faye (Alf) Harris; and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by the following brothers and one sister: Jim (Gladys), Minnie (Ernie), Louis, Willie (Joyce) and John (Norma).
Resting at Southern Kings and Queens Funeral Home, Murray River, for visitation on Saturday, Aug. 11, from 2-4 p.m. only. Funeral service to be held from the funeral home chapel on Sunday, Aug. 12, at 2 p.m. Interment in the Murray Harbour Cemetery.
