Passed peacefully away in his shed on Friday, August 10, 2012 surrounded by his family and friends. Harold Vater age 77 years. Predeceased by his son John, parents Robert and Alice, grandson Chad Mercer, brothers Jack and Junior, sisters Hazel, Olive, Emma and Margaret. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Alice sons Steven (Amber) and Larry. Daughters Olive Mercer (Doug), Gail Collins (Len), Brenda Connors (Greg) and Paula Vater (Justin), fourteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren one brother Doug. Also leaving to mourn special friends Marina Noseworthy, Trent Noseworthy, Albert Noseworthy, Larry Nichols, Alicia Moores and Sally Noseworthy. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, Torbay on Sunday from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Funeral Service at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 from Memorial United Church , Pouch Cove with interment to follow at Memorial United Church Cemetery, Bauline Line , Pouch Cove.
