It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a husband, father and grandfather at the Health Sciences Complex on Monday, August 13, 2012, in the presence of his family, age 75 years of Kelligrews. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Sarah O'Leary, cherished daughter Christine McDonald. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Betty of 52 years; daughters: Jacqueline (Carl Rideout), Karen (Tom Flynn) and Margaret; six grandchildren that he adored: John McDonald, Fallon Porter (Sam), Colin and Steven Rideout, Roger and Brittany Kennedy; one brother Patrick; three sisters: Eileen Taylor (Ralph), Gen Corrigan (Albert), Annie Jackman (Bill); very special friend Sam Phillips. Also nephews, nieces and a large circle of family and friends. Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, August 15, 2012, in St. Edward's Church, Kelligrews at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow.
